Hi! I'm Carrie.

I'm interested in helping you deepen YOUR yoga practice. Coming from a background in nonprofit education and creative arts therapy, I believe everyone is an artist innately capable of creating his/her own space for healing. Yoga is a never ending practice and looks different for every body, every day, but the mat is always there to catch us when we fall. My practice is empowering, playful, and detoxifying, uncovering new layers every day ... what's yours? I look forward to exploring with you!

Hailing from coastal New England, I combine my love of nature, music, art, and humor to build a joyful yoga practice for emotional awareness, resilience, and relaxation. I view each session as its own entity, creating a customized flow according to your specific needs. I've studied under Don and Amba Stapleton at the renowned Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica, Seane Corn of "Off the Mat, Into the World" at Kripalu, and Firefly Yoga International having completed training in trauma-informed yoga. In class, I'll encourage you to practice self-care and compassion, connection and application of mindfulness in your daily life, work, and community, supported exploration of breath and body awareness, and - most importantly - the ability to laugh along the way.

I look forward to growing with you!

"It is better to live your own Dharma imperfectly, than to live an imitation of somebody else's life with perfection." -Bhagavad Gita

"Carrie is exactly the kind of yoga teacher I try to find at whatever studio I go to. She's clear and patient in her instruction, leads a thoughtful flow, and makes you feel totally comfortable no matter your skill level or mindset that day. Her hands-on assists are subtle and SO helpful- she helped change the way I do downward dog to be much more comfortable, and her adjustments during shivasana were amaaaaazing. I would go to any class she teaches." - Laurel A.

"Carrie's incredibly sweet, relaxed demeanor and inner knowledge really shine when she teaches. Her intuitive assists, attention to each individual, and each intention are natural gifts that set her apart from most other teachers. You're guaranteed to finish your practice inspired and rooted!" - Lisa D.

"Attending my first yoga class in my 60's, I wasn't sure what to expect. It was amazing to find that by the end of Carrie's class, I could hold poses that I expected to be close to impossible. Thanks to Carrie's gentle assists and encouragement to find a comfortable place, I found myself relaxed and discovered I could sit cross-legged after all! I look forward to making more discoveries and feel encouraged to find a path that's right for this 60 year old body!" -Lynne I.
